Responsibilities
There will be two components to this role: Machine Shop Assistant will be the primary role when demand is high, and Order Picker will be the role when machine shop demand is low.
· Assist with cutting, chamfering, stamping, cleaning, and packaging of threaded rod studs in machine shop
· Operate machinery used in the production process
· Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
· Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment
· Ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped
· Carry or transport orders to shipping locations
· Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary
· Report quantity and quality variances
· Use barcode scanning equipment to maintain computerized stock inventory
· Wrap and secure loads prior to shipment
· Restock inventory rooms with required product as required
· Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
· Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
· Perform duties outside of their normal responsibilities from time to time, as needed
Qualifications
1-3 years exp in a warehouse environment.
Excellent communication skills a MUST.
Computer skills a MUST.
Reliable - looking to learn and grow.
Familiarity with cycle counting/RF scanners.
Order Entry.
Steel toe safety shoes a MUST.
Lift up to 50lbs
