Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly motivated Trade Management Officer to join their dynamic Securities Lending Operations team. This is a 12-month contract - Fully on-site in downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities
-Manage and oversee Securities Lending transactions, including collateral, loans, returns/recalls, billing, client revenue, and reconciliation activities.
-Ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements by applying appropriate regulations and guidance.
-Assess client and business requirements to coordinate and implement effective solutions.
-Act as a change agent by embracing and facilitating operational process improvements and technology upgrades.
-Review and refine processes, procedures, and controls to ensure efficiency, while exploring automation opportunities.
-Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market practices and industry developments.
-Proactively escalate issues that could impact service quality for external clients and internal teams.
Qualifications
Must Have:
-Business-related degree or equivalent experience.
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
-Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, macros).
-Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and prioritize tasks independently.
-Analytical mindset with the ability to lead initiatives and drive change.
Nice to Have:
-Previous experience in Securities Lending and working within tight deadlines.
-Solid understanding of Transaction Management, Settlements, and fee billing.
-Prior experience in operations and client services within the financial sector.
