Responsibilities
• Propulse a training product into a virtual world by adding a visual system.
• Participate to solve complex issues by analysing the entire system and narrow down where the problem lies.
• Work with the customer to customize the scene to reflect the reality.
• Challenging your fellow designers and contribute to develop the team as a whole
• Participating in a multitude of large-scale projects
The position we offer you:
• Configuration and maintenance of image generation software, including visual features such as meteorological and diurnal effects, ocean environment, articulated entities, munitions, special effects (detonations, smoke, fire, recirculation), and sensors (FLIR, NVG)
• Deployment, development, and maintenance of visual interface software that interfaces aircraft systems, and immersive & tactical environments
• Support and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Support integration and validation of defence and security aircraft simulations
• Customer or project point of contact for visual related requests and issues
Qualifications
Here are the qualifications required for this Systems Software Specialist I at this leader in the aerospace in Ville Saint-Laurent;
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or an equivalent experience
• Experience developing and debugging in C++
• Excellent communication skills (to technical and non-technical parties)
• Self-learner, independent, dynamic, team player, likes challenges
• Experience of real-time programming
• Knowldege of image generation
• Knowledge of Windows – Linux and AIX are an asset
• Knowledge of Visual Studio, Git, JIRA, DOORs - scripting is an asset
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Bilingualism (spoken/written) French and English
