Responsibilities
Manage payroll production for Canadian and U.S. employees according to specific cycles;
Administer employee files, including retroactive and special payments;
Respond to requests and questions from employees, managers and external organizations regarding payroll data (Canada and U.S.);
Contribute to the production of management reports and participate in the preparation of annual audits;
Prepare and issue Records of Employment;
Ensure compliance and integrity of payroll information;
Manage CNESST files;
Participate in the continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures;
Manage the year-end cycle, including T4/T4A, Relevé 1 and W2;
Assume other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
DEC in accounting or equivalent diploma in a relevant discipline;
At least 5 years' experience in a similar payroll position;
Excellent command of the Office suite, particularly Excel (intermediate level);
Thoroughness, autonomy and excellent organizational skills;
Knowledge of the Dayforce system is an important asset;
Knowledge of Canadian and US payroll legislation;
Analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
National Payroll Institute payroll certification (PCP, PPQ or LAP);
Strong written and oral communication skills in French and English.
