Responsibilities
1. The Senior infrastructure Specialist will be accountable to aid in planning of and develop network infrastructure designs to meet company needs, current and future. Seeking advice/guidance from senior support staff members, partners and/or providers to assist in execution the designs. Providing peer review services to members of their team.
2. Utilizing data analytics/monitoring/alerting to provide technical direction on future infrastructure design that will meet/exceed the long-term trends based on actual data/statistics. A focus on corrective action plans and oversight of their implementation
3. Liaison with global peers and partners/providers to review, share designs, assist in building product and platform roadmaps. Accountable to follow roadmaps and to technically guide peers and other support specialists
4. Responsible for selecting product lines and platforms for infrastructure within their expertise, including proof of concepts validation, product testing and validation, product/service certifications to ensure compliance with security standards
5. Be a technical leader, mentor, and role model educating and training other infrastructure specialists on your team to have the knowledge needed to build, expand, and support the designs
6. Provide Level 3 support and accountability for complex/core network issues, utilizing tool sets to determine and correct root cause of problems. Identify trending issues, report on, and lead resolution. Support team escalations, and drive tickets to closure within SLOs
7. Provide consulting services for network/telecom infrastructure for strategic projects and initiatives. Provide ticket queue oversight/review/triage and aid with balancing of ticket workloads
8. Create, update, and maintain design and build documents for team to reference. Assist with building best practices, templates, centralized knowledgebase, and document workarounds for Advanced and support staff.
Qualifications
-5+ years of Infrastructure project lead experience
-Technical certification such as Cisco CCIE, CCNP-ENT (routing: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) OR technical certification such as Juniper JNCIS-ENT / JNCIS-MistAI
-Azure and/or GCP Fundamentals & familiar with Cloud connectivity methods and implementation
-Working knowledge of FortiNet firewalls and Firewall security principals
-Working knowledge of wireless principles, Juniper Mist preferred
-Working knowledge of cellular radio boosters / enterprise & warehouse use cases
