Responsibilities
• Deliver white-glove client-focused solutions to customer requirements
• Establish procedures for new accounts and collaborate with key stakeholders of customer processes
• Support with the growth of profits in the logistics department
• Plan, coordinate, and execute shipments via air, sea, rail, or road
• Negotiate pricing and service level agreements with clients and carriers
• Prepare and review essential documents such as bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations
• Ensure all import/export regulations and requirements are met
• Provide clients with guidance on logistics solutions, regulations, and cost-saving strategies
• Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
• Analyze and optimize shipping costs and operational processes
• Stay updated on international trade news and transportation regulations
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including Incoterms and safety regulations
• Analyze shipment data to track performance and identify trends
• Identify areas of improvement to meet quotas and put in place processes.
Qualifications
• Minimum 10+ years of industry experience with a College Diploma or bachelor’s degree
• Dangerous goods certification required or obtainable.
• Knowledge of online booking services for rail and ocean, tracking, tracing, and leading market pricing indicators.
• Required skills in operations, leadership, and customer service are necessities.
• Demonstrated ability to help close new business and nurture organic growth of existing accounts.
• Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
• Highly Customer-centric and have a sense of urgency.
• A self-motivator and a self-learner with a strong drive.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• The ability to adapt to unforeseen changes remains patient and calm under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CBSA online portals (CERS and E-manifest).
