The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing month-end close processes, and performing balance sheet reconciliations. You will analyze variances, ensure financial data accuracy, and collaborate with internal teams to improve operational efficiency. Your work will support both internal decision-making and external stakeholder reporting.

• Oversee month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare complex financial statements, analysis, and commentary.
• Conduct variance analysis and work with departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify and recommend process improvements based on financial insights.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports (e.g., for government and banks).
• Inventory analysis and reporting is a must have
• Dealing with large volume of data in Excel and preparing dashboards and reports -must have
• Collaborate with business units to ensure financial reporting aligns with operational needs.
• HST/GST filing
Qualifications
Qualifications
• CPA designation (or near completion).
• 4 -5 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, including 2-4 years in financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, month end closing process, and posting complex journal entries.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to collaborate and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Manufacturing industry experience with medium to large enterprise.
• Experience with trade programs is an asset
