Responsibilities
- Requirement analysis – includes a review of documentation, user manuals, interviewing/joining requirements workshops etc;
- Creation of detailed and comprehensive test strategies, plans, schedules, and test cases;
- Creation/review of user acceptance test cases based on the test scenarios defined;
- Coordination of the full defect lifecycle from discovery and triage through to documentation, communication, resolution, and verification;
- Executes tests (functional and regression) manually or using automated tools to compare results with requirements, verify test requirements, identify defects, and ensure compliance (e.g., systems, functionality, etc.);
- Executes and validates test set-up to ensure the environment is ready for testing;
- Identifies and provides initial analysis to develop and implement appropriate actions;
- Prepare documentation and present progress reports to clients;
- Documents test results to support the efficient resolution of problems and to capture defect data;
- Communicates test results with others (e.g., management, development teams, business users, etc.) to provide updates (e.g., estimated project end date, defects, functionality, etc.);
- Enters data in the defect management tool to report variances from expected results;
- Verifies defects are fixed to ensure expected results are met;
- Reviews project schedules to ensure timely test execution within the established timeframe;
- Knowledge and some understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
Qualifications
Must haves:
- System Tester/Business Analyst with 5+ years of experience in requirement gathering, developing business requirement documents, process maps, planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts;
- Experience with manual functional and non-functional, UAT and AODA Testing;
- Knowledge of the systems development cycle (SDLC), software test life cycle (STLC), and project management.
