Responsibilities
Data Architecture and BI Development:
Architect and implement scalable BI solutions, including data models optimized for analytics and business intelligence.
Develop and optimize complex Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for stakeholders.
Design, build, and test robust data pipelines and workflows that connect disparate data sources to create a unified reporting infrastructure.
Prototype and refine data solutions to meet dynamic business requirements, focusing on performance and usability.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
Perform in-depth analysis of large datasets to uncover trends, correlations, and actionable insights.
Implement complex calculations, custom metrics, and KPIs to support decision-making.
Leverage DAX and M queries to develop advanced functionality in Power BI.
Platform Administration and Optimization:
Administer and maintain the Power BI platform, including capacity planning, workspace management, and performance tuning.
Implement data security strategies using Azure Active Directory, Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS), and related tools.
Optimize Power BI datasets and reports to ensure scalability and reduce latency.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a technical liaison between business users and technical teams, translating requirements into technical specifications.
Familiarity with supply chain management principles, including procurement and supplier performance, is an asset. Experience working with supply chain data to identify trends and support decision-making is highly desirable.
Collaborate with data architects, engineers, and analysts to ensure alignment of BI solutions with organizational data strategy.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and demonstrate BI capabilities.
Process Improvement and Governance:
Establish and maintain standards for BI development, including naming conventions, documentation, and version control.
Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the reliability of reports and dashboards.
Contribute to the development of data governance policies and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
Technical Qualifications
Qualifications
o 5+ years’ experience with advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, M query, and Power BI service administration.
o 3+ years’ extensive experience with SQL for querying, optimizing, and modeling complex datasets.
o 3+ years’ experience as a technical liaison between business users and technical teams, translating requirements into technical specifications with fluency in communication skills.
o 2+ years’ experience with implementing data security strategies using Azure Active Directory, Power BI Row-Level Security (RLS), and related tools.
