As a Risk Management Consultant, you will collaborate closely with partners in the assigned business units, as well as subject matter experts (SMEs) across both the 1st Line of Defense (1LOD) and 2LOD, to ensure operational risk is identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated. You will also work alongside senior leadership to contribute to key operational risk reports presented to various risk governance committees.
This role is pivotal in supporting a dynamic and high-impact team, providing valuable exposure to global risk management.

Responsibilities
-Advisory Support and Independent Challenge: Collaborate with partners and SMEs across 1LOD and 2LOD to ensure that operational risk is appropriately identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated. Demonstrate pragmatic and solutions-oriented problem-solving skills.
-Building Partnerships: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders in assigned business units and operational risk SMEs.
-Proactive Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and lead initiatives to implement changes.
-Operational Risk Reporting: Support senior leadership, including the Senior Director, in managing contributions to senior management reporting. This includes regular operational risk reports for various risk governance committees and internal presentations to the VP.
-Risk Frameworks and Standards: Ensure the bank's operational risk and control frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures are effectively understood and utilized within the organization.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
-Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Risk Management.
Nice to Have:
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
-Canadian Banking experience.
-Familiarity with AI tools.
Soft Skills:
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
-Highly organized with effective time management abilities.
-Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
-Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
