Position: Raw Material Assistant
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Contract: 6 months
Overview: Join our team as a Raw Material Assistant, where you'll support the foundation of an innovative raw material program aimed at delivering exceptional experiences for our global partners, employees, and guests. Your primary focus will be on inventory management, packaging, and shipment of materials, ensuring operational efficiency and contributing to sustainable practices. Responsibilities
Material Management:
- Sort, label, and organize raw materials by color and type.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of raw materials and pre-packaged items for global vendor requests.
- Handle small apparel parts and fabric, ensuring proper storage and handling.
Shipping & Receiving:
- Pack and ship materials to global partners following established protocols.
- Rearrange shelving layouts and manage storage solutions for optimal efficiency.
Data Accuracy:
- Input accurate data for all incoming and outgoing orders using Excel.
- Provide daily feedback and reports to the Raw Material Specialist.
Operational Support:
- Assemble and disassemble cardboard boxes; move and carry materials up to 10 kg.
- Complete ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.
Store Support:
- Fulfill brand store orders by pre-packaging materials and creating unique tool and accessory kits.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organizational and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of visual color sorting and handling small parts.
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 10 kg.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in visual merchandising, warehouse packaging, or retail back stocking.
- Knowledge of outdoor sports equipment and apparel.
- Interest in activities for which the company’s products are designed.
