Job Title: Project Manufacturing Engineer - Continous Improvement
Location: Stratford, ON
Industry: Heavy Vehicle (Supporting OEM Customers)
Reporting to: General Manager
We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in Continuous Improvement, Lean principles, and project management, along with technical expertise in CAD design and capital project management. Robotic welding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
2. Manufacturing Process Design: Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes, including the creation of work instructions and standardized work procedures.
3. Capital Project Management: Manage capital projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and budgetary adherence.
4. Equipment Supplier Management: Manage relationships with equipment suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Lean Principles: Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, reduce variability, and improve flow.
6. Robotic Welding: Experience with robotic welding systems is an asset.
7. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources to meet deadlines.
8. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance.
Qualifications
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the heavy vehicle industry.
3. Continuous Improvement: Proven experience with continuous improvement initiatives and Lean principles.
4. Project Management: Experience managing capital projects and equipment suppliers.
5. CAD Design: Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD design.
6. Fixture Design: Experience designing fixtures and tooling.
7. Standardized Work: Knowledge of standardized work principles and implementation.
