Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the execution of IT programs and projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
Lead and coach teams on Scrum and Agile methodologies, ensuring effective sprint planning, execution, and retrospectives.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment of objectives and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Work closely with retail business leaders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Foster collaboration and communication among project teams, driving accountability and ensuring high team morale and performance.
Serve as the main point of contact for program updates, escalating issues to senior leadership as needed.
Manage program risks, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
Monitor and track program progress, ensuring milestones are met and adjusting plans as necessary to stay on track.
Guide teams to resolve technical and operational challenges while ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Develop and maintain detailed program documentation, including schedules, project plans, and reports.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, driving engagement and ensuring continued alignment with program objectives.
Provide leadership in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on optimizing processes and enhancing team effectiveness.
Qualifications
Strong technical understanding with experience in IT program management and overseeing complex projects.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
Proven experience in the retail industry, understanding its unique operational and technological challenges.
Expertise in Scrum and Agile methodologies, with experience coaching and leading Agile teams.
Confident, outgoing personality with the ability to influence, lead teams, and drive projects forward.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at various organizational levels.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT programs and projects within the retail sector.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in fast-paced environments.
Experience with risk management and the ability to manage competing priorities and resources.
Ability to work cross-functionally, collaborating with teams from IT, business, and external vendors.
