Position: Payroll Specialist
6-7 month contract
Schedule: 40 hours per week – fully remote

Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll specialist to take over payroll for 1100 employees (alongside colleagues). This opportunity is 100% remote, with potentially an occasional presence in their Ville St-Laurent office. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 + year of experience in payroll having touched upon unionized and non- unionized employees, done payroll from employees across all provinces of Canada, taken care of expenses/commissions and benefits and worked on ADP WORKFORCENOW.

Responsibilities
- Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 1100 employees across Canada
- Ensure that all employee earnings and deductions, at point of final calculation, are accurate and are made in compliance with payroll wage
- Performs reconciliations, audits, and overpayment recovery activities.
- Resolves payroll issues and provides expert payroll knowledge regarding special payrolls, garnishments, and taxation.
- Processing sick days / vacation days for employees
- Review Records of Employment (ROEs) for accuracy
Qualifications
- 3-5 + years of experience in a relevant role
- Proficiency in ADP WorkforceNow
- Excellent communication skills both English and French
- Must be a team-player
