- Oversees the entire operation of the Brantford location reporting directly to the president of the Canadian operations
Responsibilities
- Oversee procurement of goods and services, including supplier selection, negotiation, auditing, and payables approval
- Control inventory of raw materials and packaging while overseeing production scheduling
- Supervise production, maintenance, and physical distribution departments to ensure operational efficiency
- Review and manage documents related to purchased goods, customs, and duty brokerage, applying for rebates where applicable
- Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and maintain thorough documentation for purchasing, inventory, and distribution functions
- Directly overseeing 7 and indirectly 75 employees
- Lead with a continuous improvement mindset to reduce costs and waste. Innovation is the key to success!
Qualifications
- Education in Manufacturing or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a leadership/supervisory role within a plastics manufacturing facility
- Experience with extrusion is considered a strong asset
- You have strong relationship building and leadership experience with the ability to trust your team
- You can work autonomously and as part of a team
- Strong relationships within the industry with mechanics, trades and other vendors
- Good physical health to oversee operations as it is necessary for you to be on the floor with employees to understand the operations from day to day
- You have strong Health and Safety knowledge and promote a safe environment
