Position: Mechanical R&D technician
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Mechanical R&D technician who is passionate and detail-oriented to join their team. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing new products to enhance the performance and quality of developed solutions. Working closely with engineers and other departments, they will actively contribute to the development and optimization of manufacturing processes. Shift: Day shift
Location: Ville St-Laurent
Salary: $55,000+ depending on experience
Duration: Permanent
Important: Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada and already reside in the province of Quebec.

Responsibilities
• Conduct product testing and prepare detailed laboratory reports
• Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
• Manage laboratory inventory, including sample intake and sales requests
• Ensure the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Develop and improve laboratory testing protocols
• Assist Product Development Managers (PDM) and engineers in testing and validation activities
Qualifications
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory or product testing environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of laboratory testing equipment and procedures
• Ability to write clear and structured reports and protocols
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Strong organizational skills and inventory management experience
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
