Responsibilities
Strategy and planning:
Develop, deploy and monitor the overall marketing strategy in line with the organization’s objectives;
Develop appropriate communication plans to promote the organization’s brand image and services;
Design innovative campaigns to strengthen brand awareness and attract new customers;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal procedures and productivity;
Continually monitor, analyze and evaluate the success (results and statistics, follow-up, and identification of improvements) of campaign changes, budget reallocations, new approaches, revised targeting, etc.
Events:
Work in conjunction with the event agency to organize LGAF events (2 Galas per year in Montreal and Toronto, but also discussion panels, cocktails and other networking opportunities) and maximize participation, ensuring effective planning and consistent communications;
Lead the team in the development of events: positioning, description, etc.;
Supervise the creation of visuals for events for upstream promotion but also for visibility elements on D-Day (PowerPoint presentation, event program, etc.);
Work in conjunction with the event agency.
Content creation:
Manage the organization's social media — LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc. by proposing a content plan/calendar and interacting with the community; create original visual and editorial content, distribute approved publications and measure the impact of campaigns, ensure media monitoring, and make recommendations;
Develop the content of public and targeted mailings and collaborate with the operations team on the revision and implementation of the monthly Parity Certification™ newsletters;
Write, revise and/or translate clear and rigorous content, adapted to various types of corporate documents and participate in their formatting (e.g. one-pagers, sponsorship and application files, reports and grant applications, PowerPoint presentations , etc.).
Partnerships and sponsorships:
Participate in the development and updating of partnership and/or event sponsorship offers, in conjunction with the business development team;
Managing visibility partnerships: from planning to implementation
Qualifications
Training and experience
- University degree in communications or a closely related discipline (business, marketing, public relations) or equivalent combination of studies and professional experience;
- 3 to 7 years of experience in similar functions.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Perfectly bilingual, oral and written (French, English);
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and think strategically;
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and project management skills;
- Ability to develop and manage a budget, regularly monitor budget usage and provide forecasts to senior management for decision-making purposes;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team;
- Ability to demonstrate discernment, tact and diplomacy;
- Ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas;
- Rigor and attention to detail;
- Experience with the principles of traditional communication and digital marketing;
- Excellent computer skills, including mastery of advanced MS Office functions (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
- Proficiency in using graphic design software from the Adobe suite: Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Rush mainly (an asset);
- Skills in social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), protocols and strategies;
- Mastery of common electronic communication tools (WordPress, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, Canva, etc.) and ability to quickly learn new tools.
