Responsibilities
- Maintain and nurture existing accounts.
- Identify and build long term customer relationships to develop new contracts and volume sources to grow the business.
- Monitor customer accounts in order to keep them informed of any potential issues.
- Act as the liaison between customers, drivers, customer service, and operations in order to ensure expectations are being met and special instructions recognized.
- Maintain a close relationship with the Credit department in order to ensure that our accounts are current.
- Be aware and keep on top of any changes that may occur with existing customers and ensure that we are doing everything possible to secure their business.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of Sales / Account Management experience within the Transportation Industry
- Experience selling cross-border LTL and FTL solutions is considered a strong asset
- Knowledge of the National Motor Freight Classification system (items and classes) is preferred
- Familiarity with class and discount pricing structures
- Be self-managed and able to perform job requirements with a minimal amount of supervision
