Our client is looking for a Licensed or Unlicensed Industrial Mechanic to join their afternoon shift at a dynamic, fast-paced shop in Mississauga. We're looking for someone to be part of a growing maintenance team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the facilities, machinery, and control systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, handling everything from routine maintenance to leading new installations, all while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring production equipment and machinery is functioning at
all times
Troubleshoots and repairs and/or replaces parts as required
Communicates effectively with the maintenance team as well as all other
departments.
Ensures all specifications are programmed accurately in the machine
Maintains specification tolerances
Utilizes blue prints for correct detailing, layout and set up
Responsible for the safe operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the
machinery
Communicates the requirements for spare parts and ordering of stock items to
ensure safety stock is on hand
Proven ability to work well with others
Ensures all guarding is in place and functional
Ensures equipment is locked out and tagged when appropriate
Takes initiative and provides suggestions on improving machine performance
Able to provide long-term solutions to machine problems, with a focus on
preventing issues from recurring.
Ensures the building is well maintained in a safe manner
Works in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act
Works in compliance with policies and values
Actively participates in continuous improvement activities
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Licensed as a millwright. Dual license (electrical and mechanical) is considered
an asset but not a requirement.
Proven ability to prioritize jobs with flexibility to meet demands as required
Required to have and use own tools.
English communication skills, verbal and written.
Must be willing to take initiative and possess a high level of integrity.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Proven experience in machine troubleshooting
Experience in CNC machinery is considered an asset.
