We are looking for a production glass worker or cutter to work in a manufacturing company at SE Calgary who specialize in producing high quality sealed units. We are looking for candidates who are ‘handy’ with great manual dexterity and have experience as a glass cutter.

Wage is $20
Monday to Friday
Two shifts are offered
Production shift is 8:00-4:30pm
Glass cutter shift is 6:00-2:30pm ** potential for a higher wage depending on experience
Location is not available via transit and you would need to have reliable transportation

Responsibilities
Reading a production plan including tickets and labels
• Assembling and checking products parts
• Cutting glass using specific tools and equipment
• Can safety operate a glass cutter machine
• Lifting up to 50 lbs and use of safe lifting techniques
• Working with your teammates to ensure the job is done in a timely manner
Qualifications
• Experience working with glass - proper handling techniques and glass cutting
• Able to stand and walk for an 8-hour shift
• Able to lift 50lbs, and use simple hand/ power tools
• Able to follow instructions
• Able to communicate well with colleagues
• A positive attitude, ready to work in a team as well as independently
• Experience lifting and handling glass is considered an asset
