Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Functional Consultant to support their Finance Line of Business. This role is a 12-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to full-time employment. The consultant will play a key role in Production Support & Finance Modernization efforts, working closely with business stakeholders and technology partners. This hands-on position offers exposure to multiple SAP modules and end-to-end financial processes within a banking environment.

Responsibilities
-Analyze defects, assess business requirements, and recommend solutions.
-Work with technology partners to propose and develop technical solutions.
-Act as the main liaison between business and technology teams.
-Provide subject matter expertise on supported business processes.
-Leverage SAP functional design capabilities to document functional specifications.
-Manage relationships with software vendors and service providers.
-Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and negotiate outcomes.
-Analyze risks, issues, and recommend mitigation strategies.
-Support multiple concurrent projects as needed.
Qualifications
-Minimum 8 years of experience in project environments, with SAP experience in banking.
-Strong understanding of systems development life cycle and system testing life cycle.
-Experience in production support with error handling.
-Expertise in SAP S/4 HANA finance, including Enterprise data structure, standard & custom chart of account code blocks.
-Experience leveraging SAP’s controls, security roles, and data quality framework.
-Functional understanding of non-SAP system integration.
-Knowledge of cloud-based applications and end-to-end system design.
Additional experience in the following modules is an asset:
-SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) – configuration, master data modeling, process modeling, and workflow configuration.
-GL Accounting & Financial Close – including S/4 HANA GL, AR, multi-ledger, multi-currency accounting, and financial consolidation.
-FPSL (Financial Products Subledger) – Multi-GAAP banking product subledger accounting.
-Reporting Tools – Fiori, SAC, and CDS view for financial reporting.
-Expense Ledger & Project Accounting – Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Management, Internal Orders, and PAPM.
