Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods and materials.
Load and unload shipments from trucks, containers, or storage areas.
Stack products in the appropriate areas to ensure safe storage and easy access.
Maintain accurate inventory by scanning and logging products in the warehouse system.
Assist with organizing and managing warehouse shelves and racks.
Inspect forklift and material handling equipment before use and report any maintenance issues.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper use of safety gear.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, supervisors, and drivers to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Perform general warehouse duties, including packing, sorting, and handling inventory.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification
Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role in a warehouse setting.
Ability to operate different types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Basic math and computer skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs or as required).
Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
ASSET - Nice to have
Full drivers license (G minimum)
Bilingual French and English
