Location: Montreal (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to 120K depending on experience

Responsibilities
Reporting to VP, Finance & Accounting and working closely with Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will play a leading role in the execution of the company’s finance function, as it relates to its operating and development businesses. The candidate is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the Finance and Accounting function.
Responsibilities:
-Work with the accounting staff to ensure all accounting functions and financial reporting activities are completed on an accurate and timely basis
-Oversee all accounting processes and ensures reports comply with regulatory and accounting standards and practices
-Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures and systems to ensure company financial information is fairly stated
-Lead the annual budgeting process for the business; initiate, coordinate, monitor and review the process
-Assist in the development, implementation & maintenance of planning tools
-Prepare monthly or annual financial statements and external reporting to financial institutions, ensuring that all reporting requirements are met
-Manage risk as the business executes on its strategies and initiative as well as maintain a strong internal controls environment and financial reporting processes
-Prepare the board report & analyze the variance to support the board presentation
-Hire, coach, mentor, motivate, and provide constructive feedback to team members to promote employee development to improve efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- CPA designation is a significant asset
- Proven leadership skills to deliver results
- Ability to work with a positive attitude and in a professional manner
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
