Responsibilities
Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials manually or using equipment such as dollies, carts, or forklifts.
Assembly and Setup: Assist in assembling and setting up equipment, furniture, or fixtures.
Site Preparation: Prepare work areas by clearing debris, laying materials, or setting up tools.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep workspaces clean, organized, and safe by sweeping, disposing of waste, and maintaining equipment.
Inventory Management: Monitor and stock materials, supplies, or tools as needed.
General Repairs: Perform minor repairs or adjustments to tools, machinery, or other equipment.
Physical Tasks: Carry out lifting, pushing, pulling, and other physical tasks as required.
Support Skilled Workers: Assist tradespeople or technicians with tasks like holding tools, measuring, or assembling components.
Loading and Unloading Vehicles: Efficiently load/unload trucks with supplies, furniture, or materials.
Following Safety Guidelines: Adhere to all workplace safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
Previous experience in warehouse, construction, or manufacturing roles is an asset.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic math and measurement skills for inventory counting or material sizing.
Valid forklift license or certification is an asset.
WHMIS or other relevant safety certifications are a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks and environments.
Ability to pass a background check if required.
Access to reliable transportation to the job site.
Eligibility to work in Canada.
