Opportunity: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Victoria, BC
Salary: $55,000 to $70,000/year with benefits
Advantages
• Salary $55,000 to $70,000
• Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM - some weekend support if needed
• Benefits begin after 90 days
• 3 weeks of vacation
• RRSP with a 4% match
Responsibilities
• Coordinate logistics and distribution activities for Stores and Distribution and Recycling Centre
• Manage the flow of resources from origin to destination, integrating trucking and warehousing
• Oversee the storage and movement of products through established distribution processes
• Reduce losses and increase sales and profitability through effective recycling initiatives
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Handle HR issues and support employee progression
• Utilize forklift experience, if available, to optimize warehouse operations
• Adapt to the unique work environment of a retail warehouse dealing with fast-changing inventory
• Employ multitasking skills to efficiently manage various tasks
Qualifications
• Two to five years’ experience in managing logistics and distribution
• Complete knowledge of what will and will not sell within used clothing retail stores
• College Diploma in Business Administration, Property Management, or trade experience within a warehouse environment
• Licensed Forklift Operator would be an asset
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Proactive problem-solving skills
• Experience in HR management and supporting employee progression preferred
• Familiarity with logistics and warehouse operations, especially in a retail environment
• Experience in recycling would be beneficial due to the nature of our inventory
