Responsibilities
-Develop and maintain Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide BCM standards.
-Conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIA) to evaluate potential risks and operational disruptions.
-Design and execute testing exercises (work area recovery, contact exercises, and simulations) to validate business continuity strategies.
-Assess internal controls and processes to ensure operational resilience within Capital Markets.
-Partner with business and IT teams to identify operational risks and recommend solutions (excluding IT-specific risks).
-Support regulatory and internal audit activities by tracking outstanding audit items and ensuring compliance.
-Act as a key liaison between business lines, risk teams, and senior leadership during incident response situations.
-Provide analytical insights on key risk indicators (KRIs) and recommend process improvements.
-Facilitate cross-functional collaboration on risk management initiatives, ensuring business preparedness for potential disruptions.
Qualifications
Required:
-2–4 years of experience in business continuity, risk management, internal audit, or a related field.
-Strong understanding of operational risk in Capital Markets.
-Experience in process improvement and testing controls.
-Ability to analyze business processes and implement effective continuity strategies.
Nice to Have:
-BCCP, CBCP certification.
-CPA designation.
-Familiarity with Canadian and US financial regulations.
-Experience using Everbright software.
