Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Process Optimization:
Analyze current financial and accounting processes supported by the existing Oracle ERP system.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the migration to Dynamics 365 Financials.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design and document optimized business processes that align with Dynamics 365 capabilities.
2. Realize the ERP Vision:
Partner with the CFO to shape the ERP vision and ensure alignment with organizational strategic goals.
Communicate the CFO’s objectives and priorities to the project team, ensuring they are reflected in all project activities.
Serve as the primary liaison between the CFO, business stakeholders, and the project team, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
3. Ensure System Configuration Meets Business Requirements:
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials is configured to meet business needs.
Validate system configurations and customizations align with best finance and accounting practices.
Review and approve configurations from a business perspective.
4. Data Mapping & Validation:
Assist in mapping financial data from Oracle ERP to Dynamics 365 Financials.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data during the migration process.
Participate in data validation to confirm support for business reporting and compliance needs.
5. Testing & User Acceptance:
Lead business-focused testing plans to validate the new system’s functionality.
Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) with finance and accounting teams.
Resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during testing.
6. Training & Change Management:
Assist in creating training materials and lead sessions for finance and accounting teams.
Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials.
Act as a change advocate, managing the impact of system changes on business processes.
7. Post-Migration Support:
Provide ongoing support to business users after the migration.
Monitor system performance and recommend adjustments to optimize usage.
Assist with continuous improvement efforts to identify opportunities for further system enhancements.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business consulting role or as an Assistant Controller, with a focus on Dynamics 365 ERP systems and financial processes.
Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials.
Deep knowledge of finance and accounting practices, including financial reporting, general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable.
Proven experience leading or participating in ERP migration projects, especially D365.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and IT teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
IT knowledge, including system configuration and data migration, is a plus.
