Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist, your role will encompass various aspects of the AR process. You will:
- Manage Invoicing, Payment Applications & Collections: Own the AR process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Reduce Overdue Balances: Implement strategies to maintain a low DSO (< 45 days) and reduce overdue accounts.
- Monitor Customer Accounts: Ensure timely follow-up on outstanding payments, putting accounts on hold when necessary.
- Resolve Payment Discrepancies: Work directly with customers to address any issues and foster positive relationships.
- Streamline AR Processes: Analyze and improve existing AR processes, identifying ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with sales, account management, and service lines to resolve billing issues and support smooth customer onboarding.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate financial records to support audits and regulatory reviews.
- Customer Relations: Act as the go-to expert for AR issues, building strong connections with key customers.
Qualifications
Who We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- 2+ Years of AR Experience: Extensive expertise in accounts receivable, billing, and collections is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel capabilities.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of financial regulations, AR processes, and accounting principles.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive outcomes.
- Ethical & Detail-Oriented: High integrity and attention to detail in handling sensitive financial data.
