Responsibilities
In this Accounts Payable Supervisor role in Mississauga, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supervise, mentor, and guide the accounts payable team to achieve departmental goals.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
- Manage and optimize the use of SAP for accounts payable processes, including vendor setup, payment runs, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient accounts payable procedures and workflows.
- Reconcile accounts payable subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues, including invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports and metrics to support decision-making.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and audit support.
- Lead or participate in projects related to system enhancements, process improvements, or new initiatives.
Qualifications
In this Accounts Payable Supervisor role in Mississauga, you will be required to have the following:
- Minimum 3 years of experience processing full-cycle AP.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, ideally in accounts payable.
- Experience with SAP is a great asset.
- Previous experience working in a similar industry is an asset.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
