Responsibilities
- Complete the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment as required, including working with external contractors.
- Conduct routine maintenance of production equipment to ensure the most efficient flow of production with the least possible downtime.
- Ensures all electrical parts, wiring and equipment conform to electrical code requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support maintenance of spare parts list.
- Work according to schedule made by production department and Maintenance Supervisor and ensure scheduler is aware when work assignments cannot be completed as planned.
- Maintain detailed records of labour hours of unscheduled repairs and improvements and technical repairs when creating work orders.
- Ensure that work is completed in accordance with relevant Electrical Codes and Health & Safety regulations.
- Execute the preventative maintenance program.
- Addition duties as required.
Qualifications
- Licensed 442A Electrician with 3-5+ years of experience
- Experience working in different sectors/industries
- Experience in an automotive environment is an asset
- Prior experience with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Read electrical drawings/schematics, info sheets
- Overhead crane, tow motor, aerial lifts and measuring devices (such as: micro meter, height indicator, etc.) experience is an asset
