Responsibilities
Job Description:
Spooling wire/cable from one large wooden reel to another cutting at specific lengths, sometimes lengths of 2000-4000 meters so the spools can be very large.
Qualifications
• Training is expected to take 1-2 weeks depending on the individual.
• Individuals who excel with machine operator/hand tool experience can apply
• The successful candidates must be mechanically inclined.
• Forklift experience/certificate is also required because we move the reels using large sit-down forklifts and each cutter changes their reels 5-7 times/day.
• This can be very physical work making sure the wire is set up correctly onto the new reel so candidates must be prepared and ready for this.
• CSA-approved safety footwear is required
