Responsibilities
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move materials safely and efficiently
Receiving & Verification: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages or discrepancies, and verify contents against orders. Accurately record received items and update inventory systems.
Inventory Organization: Safely store products in their proper locations and keep inventory well-organized for easy access. Perform regular stock audits to ensure proper inventory levels.
Order Processing: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment. Ensure all items are correctly packed, with accurate documentation, ready for delivery.
Shipping Coordination: Handle the preparation of outbound shipments by selecting the right carriers, creating labels, and managing transportation. Coordinate with shipping partners to ensure timely deliveries, and process returns or exchanges as necessary.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move and organize goods efficiently, always following safety protocols.
Inventory Monitoring: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and performing periodic audits or cycle counts to maintain accuracy. Report any discrepancies promptly to supervisors.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety procedures and ensuring that all areas are tidy and hazard-free.
Record Maintenance: Keep detailed and accurate records of warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, and inventory adjustments, ensuring all documentation is up to date.
Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow warehouse team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations. Proactively address challenges and offer suggestions for process improvements.
Additional Tasks: Take on other responsibilities as assigned, such as delivery driving, DOP, and FIT testing.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a warehouse or similar setting is preferred.
Knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment.
Experience in abatement, restoration, construction, or general safety & cleaning industries is a plus.
Capable of lifting heavy items and performing physically demanding tasks.
Comfortable using or learning basic software programs.
Strong attention to detail and precision.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication and ability to work well in a team.
Forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
Bilingual is an asset
A valid driver's license is an asset.
