Our client is a premier buying group of Lumber and Building materials in Canada. They are looking for their next team member as a 'Program Manager Assistant'. Reporting to the VP of National Marketing, the Program Manager Assistant will work directly with the buying team. Duties include data management and analysis, customer service, and administrative tasks related to vendor programs.

Responsibilities
- Preparation and data entry of vendor rebate programs and related information.
- Organization and posting with the vendors, information to EMS/Castle Core.
- Preparation of all vendor files for vendor meetings.
- Liaison between members, buyers & vendors relating to various programs & products.
- Plan, organize and prepare all aspects for Buyers’ midyear and yearly negotiation meetings.
- Request quotations and program updates from vendors in required formats.
- Organize & coordinate all relevant documentation for Expo and Castle 4C buying events.
- Ability to read and understand contracts/documents.
- Other administrative duties as required.
- Supports the Rebate Program Manager to facilitate the rebate collection and processing.
- Ensures the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of all monthly/quarterly and annual rebate payments
- Preparation and data entry of vendor rebate programs and other vendor related information
- Responsible for the Rebate process which includes validating, verifying and disputing when necessary.
- Liaise between members, vendors and the purchasing team with respect to the timely collection and payment of rebate programs
- Identify potential areas for process improvement.
- Document processes and maintain files.
- Provide adhoc analytics for members, vendors and the purchasing team with respect to the timely collection and payment of rebate programs
Qualifications
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to understand and learn new computer data entry programs. LBMX/JDE Edwards/ORACLE
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Research, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide recommendations and/or solutions.
- Work effectively independently as well as within the team structure.
- Self-motivated, team player, flexible, creative.
- Positive attitude towards learning and contributing.
- Ability to work with changing priorities and schedule constraints.
- Minimum 5 years administrative experience required.
- Knowledge of Lumber and building material products would be an asset.
