Job Summary:
The HR/Payroll Coordinator works collaboratively within the HR team, with responsibility for HR/Payroll administration, HR programs support, as well as specialist responsibility in the area of payroll and benefits.

Responsible for all HR/Payroll administration requirements including, but not limited to: employee letters, payroll forms/inputs, organization charts and role descriptions, and support on HR/Payroll compliance requirements.
Manage and maintain HR/Payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Coordinate on-boarding process as well as off-boarding. Manage periodic new employee check ins and follow up.
Enter approved changes into benefit systems regarding group health benefits, as required (new hires, terminations, any salary changes, dependent changes etc.); enter in Payroll as required.
Support or process annual bonus payments as per the company’s bonus cycle.
Assist in the Year End payroll process.
Support or prepare reports from ADP Workforce Now to provide statistical information to HR.
Provide support with employee communication components related to HR and HR programs.
Administer employee recognition programs.
Build and manage effective relationships in the business with managers and employees. Provide counsel and support to managers and employees on policies, programs, and procedures.
Provide support with monthly and annual HR reporting requirements.
Participate in and support with other human resources projects and initiatives.
Education/Experience:
Post secondary education with a Degree/ Diploma in Human Resources or other related discipline.
Minimum two to three years previous experience in Human Resources/Payroll.
Minimum two years experience with ADP Workforce Now.
Previous experience with Year End and HR Administration.
Superior interpersonal and client-relations skills, with ability to quickly build strong partnerships.
Demonstrated working knowledge of relevant employment legislation and Human Rights legislation.
Able to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities well, with excellent organizational, time management and planning skills.
Results oriented, and able to work well with deadlines.
Able to work with a high degree of independence.
Flexible and adaptable to changing business conditions and priorities.
Working knowledge of MS Office software programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
