2.Monitoring & Incident Handling
oOversee continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and real-time threat detection in Azure.
oManage incidents from discovery to resolution, performing in-depth root cause analysis for future prevention.
3.Identity & Access Management
oEnforce robust policies across Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring role-based access, MFA, and conditional access policies.
oSupport identity lifecycle processes, configuring PKI/certificates and advanced multi-factor solutions.
4.Compliance & Automation
oEnsure cloud infrastructure meets relevant standards (NIST CSF, etc.) and carry out audits, risk analysis, and remediation steps.
oAutomate security controls using Azure services (Azure Policy, Infrastructure as Code) and champion a DevSecOps mindset.
5.Cross-functional collaboration
oEngage with networking, development, and audit teams, providing guidance on security best practices.
oOffer mentoring to enhance the broader team’s awareness and knowledge of Azure cloud security principles.
Qualifications
•Proven 3+ years working with Azure cloud security (Defender for Cloud Apps, Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, MFA).
•Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure (VMs, App Services, Networking) and the ability to design secure cloud architectures.
•Knowledge of cloud security automation using IaC, DevOps tools, or scripting for vulnerability scanning and remediation.
•Familiarity with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and security audit processes.
•Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500) or other relevant certifications (SC-100, CISSP, CCSP).
•Experience with Azure Sentinel, SaaS security strategies, or additional cloud providers (AWS/GCP).
