Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business or IT requirements and/or business requirements, functional needs, and technical dependencies related to the PeopleSoft platform upgrade.
- Conduct gap analysis between current and upgraded PeopleSoft environments to identify necessary changes, customizations, and improvements.
Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
- Collect and document detailed IT requirements for the PeopleSoft upgrade from 8.59 to 8.61, including Oracle Tuxedo and Web Logic Server.
- Develop functional specifications and use cases to guide the technical implementation of the upgrade.
- Ensure all business and technical requirements are well-documented and aligned with project goals.
- Work with functional teams to map out existing business processes and workflows in PeopleSoft as required.
- Support configuration and setup of PeopleSoft modules (PS CRM, Portal (PA) and Fin (Finance) during the upgrade process.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation during the upgrade.
- Work with QA to develop test cases and test scripts based on IT or business requirements and functional specifications.
- Work with QA Lead to assist in UAT and ensure that the PeopleSoft upgrade meets IT and business needs and expectations.
- Collaborate with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
- Create user manuals, training materials, and documentation to facilitate a smooth transition to the upgraded platform.
- Offer post-upgrade support and assist with any troubleshooting needs.
- Work closely with technical teams (developers, DBA, and infrastructure) to ensure that the PeopleSoft upgrade is executed according to specifications.
- Collaborate with business teams to ensure the solution meets operational requirements and achieves organizational goals.
- Monitor system performance post-upgrade, identifying potential areas for improvement or issues that need to be addressed.
- Provide ongoing analysis and recommendations for further enhancements to optimize the upgraded PeopleSoft platform.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft Business Analyst role.
- Proven experience in supporting or leading PeopleSoft platform upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft configuration, customization, and integrations.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders across departments.
- Experience in leading or assisting with training sessions and developing training materials.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, accurate work.
