Our client, a top 5 bank, is looking for a Tax operations analyst to Contribute to the overall success of the Tax Documentation team FATCA/CRS/QI and in ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/ delivered in support of the team and business strategies and objectives. Ensure all tax documentation pertaining to Qualified Intermediary, FATCA and CRS are processed and maintained in line with the regulatory and operational requirements

Responsibilities
As a Tax operations analyst, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Assist in reviewing monthly/annually the IRS tax forms W9/W8 , withholding statements and other
documents for the purpose of US Chapter 3 compliance and US Tax (1042-S, 1042, 1099) annual
reporting
Ensure FATCA/CRS/QI compliance where client onboarding process and data management are
conducted locally.
Ensure daily/monthly FATCA/CRS/QI operational monitoring and updates
Collaborate to recommend improvement opportunities to process and systems
Work with the team to provide periodic management reporting
Responsible to keep project materials and logs up to date
Qualifications
- Familiarity with the IRS Tax forms (W9/W8)
- Ability to Interpret IRS codes
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, related financial discipline, or equivalent education/experience
- EA/CPA/CMA certification an asset
- 1- years of tax information reporting experience
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
spreadsheet/financial accounting skills, and any other related accounting software
- Knowledge of RBC financial systems and associated procedures an asset
Attributes:
- Attention to detail and critical thinking
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
