Responsibilities
- Prepare tax provision schedules and related financial statement disclosures
- Prepare tax returns, information returns, payments, instalment calculations, and maintain the company’s tax database
- Handle various other tax compliance filings
- Collaborate with the finance department to gather required information and coordinate with external advisors
- Support management with tax-related projects and the implementation of strategic initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal tax regulations
- Stay updated on tax legislation and industry trends, and proactively share relevant updates with the team
Qualifications
- Completed or pursuing CPA designation
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant Canadian Tax Experience
- Enrolment in CICA In-depth Tax Program is an asset
- Attention to detail
- work well under pressure and meet deadlines
