We are seeking a Sustainable Operations and EPR Specialist for a well established apparel manufacturing client of ours in the Vancouver area. This will be a 12 month contract opportunity with a strong possibility of extension or permanent employment with our client. This role is an equal mix of project management, regulatory operations , reporting and data collection. It function as a part of our clients sustainable product and packaging team, leading internal operations to meet compliance with extended producer responsibility regulations and reporting.

Responsibilities
-Lead the preparation of dat and documentation for regulatory reporting of all global Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements for packaging and textiles.
-Identify, manage and implement process improvements as it relates to the management of regulatory information and Impact Agenda reporting.
-Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure program implementations are coordinated across all relevant stakeholders to ensure program success.
-Implement key deliverables and reports against operational and regulatory timelines for existing and new EPR reporting.
-Update all relevant internal stakeholders on program progress, highlighting wins and challenges across our roadmap of activities.
-Coordinate internal engagement opportunities to educate and inspire our stakeholders on waste.
-Support our regional donation programs to ensure all donations are responsibly managed and impactful.
Qualifications
-Bachelor and/or masters degree in areas of business, environmental science, sustainability, or regulator and government affairs.
-2-3 years work experience in relevant business sustainability, environmental or regulatory operations in mid to large business contexts, government, or NGO's, ideally with experience in packaging, apparel retail and/or consumer goods.
-Prior experience with EPR and other global packaging and textile regulations is an asset
-Exceptional communication skills, capable of distilling and communicating complicated information in an interesting, accessible and relevant way across all levels of business.
-Project Management experience with the ability to manage and oversee multiple projects, stakeholders and prioritize time and tasks
