Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage all field activities related to water, storm, and sanitary sewer infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.
• Plan and supervise the installation, repair, cleaning, and maintenance of water systems, storm and sanitary sewers, and drainage infrastructure.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and construction standards.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with contract specifications and schedules.
• Estimate, schedule, and oversee third-party services and specialty contractors
• Monitor project costs, materials, equipment, and labour
• Liaise effectively with municipal departments, provincial agencies, utility providers, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with budgets, purchasing, invoice approval, and other financial processes.
• Respond to internal/external inquiries, compliance concerns, and public service requests.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, with a strong focus on sewer and water infrastructure.
• Proven leadership ability managing multidisciplinary crews and complex projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, safety regulations, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License.
