In this role, the Site Superintendent will effectively control all work on the project job site. In doing this, the Site Superintendent will see to it that the project is constructed in close conformity with the plans and specifications, while ensuring methods used are safe, efficient, economical, expedient, and of high quality.

Responsibilities
• Plan, schedule and manage projects for the construction and/or repair of civil construction projects such as roads, bridges, sewers and watermains.
• Be proactive in all aspects of construction requirements including adapting to changes as they
apply to each project.
• Effectively communicate with all members of the construction team as well as effectively
negotiate and resolve any conflicts which may arise.
• Plan and supervise the set-up of temporary field facilities such as power, offices, construction
roads, etc.
• Supervise, check and/or perform the surveying and layout required for the construction
of all portions of the project.
• Effectively plan and carry out the work (in conjunction with Project Manager) to ensure an
efficient, expedient and economical program of construction.
• Be thoroughly familiar with and understand project documentation including the specifications,
project drawings and schedules, etc.
• Manage day to day labour requirements and be able to lead and direct in high pressure
situations.
Qualifications
• Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership capacity (Foreman or Site Super)
• Experience with municipal projects, asphalt roads, bridges, highways required
• Up to date WHIMS, CPR, Fall Arrest, and Lift Training certifications
• Experience with the MTO highly regarded
• Valid G Drivers License
