Our staffing partner is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant for a specialty pharmacy in the Markham area. This full-time contract role offers hands-on experience in both compounding support and dispensary operations.
While sterile compounding experience is an asset, non-sterile compounding experience is sufficient. Full training will be provided. Responsibilities include:
✔ Assisting with batch preparation of prefilled syringes, including visual inspection and labeling as needed;
✔ Supporting dispensary operations, including prescription packaging, inventory counting, and using the Kroll system;

Responsibilities
Sterile compounding pharmacy assistant - 7-week contract - Markham, ON
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete required training modules on pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Assist with batch preparation of prefilled syringes, including visual inspection and labeling as needed.
- Support dispensary operations, including packaging prescriptions, counting inventory, and maintaining accurate records in the Kroll system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and timely order processing.
Qualifications

- Experience with compounding is mandatory - sterile compounding experience is an asset, non-sterile compounding experience is sufficient.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant, regardless of the setting, is required as well.
- Strong communication skills and team spirit.
- A positive team spirit, initiative, and interest in a specialty setting are also a must!
