Our client is looking to hire a Sr. Business Systems Analyst with a blend of BA and Project Management skills. They need someone experienced enough to work independently on projects after a brief orientation, but also comfortable with a "jack of all trades" role, switching between BA and PM tasks as needed.
– to be the Bridge Between Business and Technology!
...
Are you a strategic thinker who loves solving complex business problems with smart, scalable technology? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where collaboration, innovation, and impact are at the forefront? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
We’re hiring for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join an IT Program Management team and play a key role in transforming ideas into powerful technical solutions that drive the organization forward.
Advantages
Hybrid environment, with some flexibility. Location is Oakville. Amazing team and lots of project work!
Responsibilities
As a Senior BSA, you’ll wear many hats – strategic thinker, problem solver, project manager, and trusted advisor. You’ll:
Lead engaging workshops and meetings with stakeholders to uncover and prioritize business needs.
Translate those needs into clear, actionable business and functional requirements.
Collaborate with Developers, QA Analysts, Data and Security teams, and external vendors to bring solutions to life.
Create roadmaps and align business requests with strategic objectives.
Manage technical projects of medium to high complexity using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Serve as a liaison across business and IT teams to keep projects moving and ensure alignment from idea to implementation.
Develop key project documentation, including solution designs, risk registers, modeling diagrams, and ARB presentations.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with the right mix of tech-savvy and business acumen:
5+ years as a Business Systems Analyst and 3+ years in Software Development or QA.
Hands-on experience with Java, XML, Integration Services, and Unix Scripts.
Strong project management skills – ideally PMP-certified – and experience with JIRA and Agile tools.
Skilled in systems integration, cloud computing, and technical documentation.
Adept at navigating both technical and non-technical conversations with ease.
BA Certification (like CBAP) and familiarity with regulatory or transformational projects? Even better!
You’re not just a BSA – you’re a communicator, a connector, and a catalyst for change. You bring:
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A sharp eye for detail, a structured approach to problem solving, and a talent for turning complexity into clarity.
The ability to influence, inspire, and get buy-in from diverse stakeholders.
Summary
If you are looking for more than just a tech team — this environment is a collaborative, forward-thinking group that thrives on delivering real impact. If you're passionate about creating innovative solutions and want to be part of a high-performing organization that values your voice, we want to hear from you.
