Responsibilities
• Evaluate and test IT General Controls covering access management, change management, system operations, and backup/recovery.
• Apply knowledge of relevant SOX compliance frameworks (e.g., COSO, COBIT, NIST) to the IT control environment.
• Identify, assess, and contribute to the mitigation of IT risks impacting financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit activities related to IT SOX compliance requirements.
• Conduct user access reviews and evaluate the effectiveness of role-based and privileged access controls.
• Assist in developing, tracking, and validating remediation plans for identified control deficiencies.
• Maintain clear, accurate compliance documentation and report on control effectiveness and audit findings.
Qualifications
• Strong understanding of IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) requirements.
• Proven experience in IT risk assessment, control design/evaluation, or IT audit methodologies.
• Familiarity with common ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Workday) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams like IT, Finance, and Audit.
