Responsibilities
The Role:
Solution Design & Architecture:
- Develop comprehensive solution architectures for ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) and facilities technology systems (ex: building management systems, access control, CCTV).
- Define technical requirements, specifications, and design patterns that support scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors to meet business needs.
- Create and maintain architectural documentation, including solution design documents, diagrams, models, and specifications.
ITSM Optimization:
- Design and help implement modules, ITSM workflows, processes, and integrations to improve service management practices including service delivery, incident management, problem management, change management, and asset management.
- Ensure alignment of ITSM solutions with ITIL best practices and industry standards.
Facilities Technology Integration:
- Design and implement solutions that modernize facilities technology systems, and integrate with IT infrastructure and business applications, supporting use-cases such as space utilization, health & safety management, and physical security.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and facilities management to understand requirements and develop effective solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Lead workshops and presentations to gather requirements and present solution designs.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams.
Project Leadership & Governance:
- Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
- Conduct technical assessments and risk analyses.
- Contribute to the development of technology roadmaps and strategic plans.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and security policies.
Consulting, as necessary:
- Provide consulting advice to various parts of the organization in response to specific business requests, and provide technical input to meet business requirements in the most economical, scalable, and supportable way.
Style/Behavior:
- Must be problem solver, self-starter, work with limited supervision, a team player and able to clearly communicate with other team members, management and user community, and effectively work with external vendors and technology partners.
- Work with stakeholders to derive and communicate timeline expectations for deliverables.
- Balances competing priorities while adhering to deadlines and aligning architecture to achieve value delivery.
- Understanding of business fundamentals, including metrics reporting, business process management, customer centricity and value creation, and business problem solving.
