Responsibilities
Responsible for providing assistance within the machine shop and tool room
Responsible for assisting with the receiving and storing of job ordered shop material
Monitor and maintain fluids and coolant levels in tooling equipment (lathes, mills, grinders)
Completion of fabrication projects such as frames, tables, and guarding
Operation of sawmills and lathe
Adheres to health and safety policies and procedures
Operate a forklift and crane as needed
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or its equivalent
Minimum of one (1) year Manufacturing experience
Mechanically inclined, must be able to use small hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque wrenches, vices, clamps etc.
Experience in a machine shop would be an asset
Experience with measuring equipment such as venires, calipers, outside micrometers
Proficient math skills such as calculating with fractions, conversions from metric to standard
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must be self-motivated and eager to learn
Able to work with minimal supervision
Some heavy lifting is required
