Our client, an established construction company in Calgary, are looking for an experienced Site Superintendent in the Commercial sector to add to their busy and growing team. The Site Superintendent oversees construction activities at the worksite, supervises and provides direction to general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers. The Site Superintendent is responsible for maintaining the schedule, knowing what work must be done, and ensuring that sufficient and appropriate resources are assigned to accomplish that work.

Responsibilities
- Superintendents are ultimately responsible for managing all daily construction activities on their site.
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
- Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
- Oversee day-to-day field activities. Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
Qualifications
- The individual will need to demonstrate experience in commercial, retail petroleum, or light industrial construction
- Minimum of 3+ years of Superintendent level work experience on projects in the $1 - $10 million range
- Must have computer skills and effective typing, verbal, and written communication skills
- Have the capacity to learn and become proficient in a variety of technologies
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements
- Willingness to travel out of town is an asset
