Shipping Coordinator

Location: Oshawa, ON
Position: Temporary, 2-Month Contract (with possibility of extension)
Schedule:

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Night Shift: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour

Responsibilities
Manage the shipping window and liaise with drivers entering and exiting the facility.

Assign parking spots and trailers to incoming and outgoing shipments.

Oversee the opening and closing of gates to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Perform basic data entry and filing tasks to maintain accurate records.

Utilize basic Excel functions to track shipments and assist in operational reporting.

Work with Yardi software for inventory and logistics management (training provided if needed).

Ensure smooth operations by maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

No lifting required, but a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask are essential.

Qualifications
Prior experience in a transportation, warehouse, or logistics role is an asset.

Basic proficiency in Excel and comfortable using computer software.

Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and team members.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision and attention to detail.
