Responsibilities
Develop, implement purchasing strategies and policies
Control purchasing department budget
Be able to identify and evaluate suppliers of materials, spare components , track and manage inventories
Negotiate purchase contracts and maintain vendor relationships and follow-ups
Be able to analyze costs and quality of goods
Oversee facility operations ,preventative maintenance , plant security
Coordinate all aspects of preventative maintenance & schedules in cooperation with the Plant manager and Production manager
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
Manage and maintain present software system (INTERAL)
Qualifications
Knowledge of supply chain ,both locally (QC , Ontario & USA)
Strong background in electrical,mechanical,hydraulic supply chain ; both locally and North America
Bilingual skills both writing and communication
