Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end coordination of trucking operations for both inbound and outbound deliveries for a variety of clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with external trucking vendors, freight carriers, and subcontractors. Negotiate contracts and rates to optimize service and cost-efficiency
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatching of trucks, taking into account delivery windows, client needs, and potential disruptions
- Act as a point of contact for clients regarding transportation issues, address client concerns regarding deliveries, damages, or delays
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients regarding warehousing requests. Communicate with clients to understand their specific warehousing needs and ensure expectations are met
- Monitor transportation and warehousing costs and identify areas for cost reduction
- All other related tasks.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Trucking Operations (Brokerage or 3PL)
- Knowledge of Drayage, LTL and FTL shipments
- Strong account management and negotiations skills
- Possess leadership skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), intermediate French is required
- Knowledge of North American Carrier Network and cross-border shipping
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with CargoWise and/or Loadlink is considered an asset.
- Strong organization skills, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills.
